Seven Reasons This Clay Class is Awesome

Clay Mix Level: New this Fall!

Here are seven things that are awesome about Shelburne Craft School’s new Mixed Level Clay Class for Adults:

beat-the-traffic

1. Beat the Traffic

The class takes place on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30PM which makes it the perfect after work activity. You can sit in traffic or you can sit in our beautiful clay studio. By the time the class is done, there’s much less traffic on the road.

meet-new-people

2. Meet New People

This course is great for beginners and potters with some experience who are looking to learn the fundamentals or brush up on basic wheel-throwing techniques. Expect to meet some new folks even if you’ve been taking classes at Shelburne Craft School for years.

unwind-from-your-day

3. Unwind from Your Day

Nothing beats the feeling of seeing a form come into shape as you spin the wheel.

rik-rolla

4. Rik Is an Awesome Instructor

The class is taught by Rik Rolla, who is also the Clay Studio Manager. Whether he is working with kids or adults, he brings bundles of information, skill, and patience to his classes.

make-humpday-funday

5. Make Humpday Funday

The mixed skill levels keeps the class fun and relaxed. Never threw a pot before? Maybe it’s been a while and you want a fresher? Don’t sweat it.

learn-new-things

6. Learn New Things

Students learn how to center, throw, trim and glaze. After crafting your pottery on the wheel, Rik Rolla guides you to create finished pieces for the electric oxidation kiln.

holiday-shopping

7. Finish Your Holiday Shopping Early

You will leave with several functional pieces. Sure, you can keep them for yourself, but the class wraps up in early December, the season of giving.

Classes fill up fast. Remember to sign-up soon.
