We invite you to become a of the Shelburne Craft School, a group of people dedicated to the charitable work and long-term sustainability of the Shelburne Craft School.
What is the Shelburne Craft School?
The Shelburne Craft School opened to create a space for artists and artisans to work, learn, and educate members of the community in wood, clay, metal, glass, and visual art. Founded by Reverend Lynwood Smith in 1938 as a small community project in a church rectory, the school grew with support from Aileen Osborn Webb, a leading figure in the American Craft Movement. Through the years, the school flourished thanks to on-going support from the community. The Shelburne Craft School continues to inspire individual creativity by providing hands-on education in craft and art. We believe that working with one’s hands is an essential part of a well-rounded life. We offer opportunities to learn, teach, and develop as artists, artisans, and people. READ MORE HISTORY
