AFTER SCHOOL: Crafting in Clay Ages 6+ 
Instructor: Sarah Sprague and Sarah Wilson
Explore hand building with clay and learn techniques like pinching, coiling, scratch and attach, and more! Students will design, plan and build their own unique projects each week and will create fun, functional and whimsical objects in clay that will be around for years to come!

Students will learn basic of woodworking. You will get to be in a real wood shop, surrounded by professional woodworking tools. This is a great hands-on class, to explore the variety of woodworking techniques safely and with guided instruction.

Ages 6-9: Craft Sampler
For Shelburne Community School Tuesday Early Release Families. Each session begins with 20-30 minutes of snack and free time. We find that early free time provides a brain break for students to transition from school to after-school. Then, we will all be ready for homework and the day’s visual arts project. Each week, we will offer a variety of options for your student to enjoy. Our focus is on mixed media visual arts, so students can choose to make collages, books, paintings, mosaics, sun prints and more!

For Shelburne Community School Tuesday Early Release Families.  This program is designed to offer an introduction to craft through a variety of hands on projects for your child to explore.  Kids will have a snack, time to do homework, time to play and time to craft. For kids ages 10-13, students will learn the basics of woodworking, tool usage, and technique while making carved spoons, wooden cutting boards, and tool boxes.

Instructor: Sarah Sprague
Students will learn the basics of copper foil stained glass.  They will learn how to make a small window, select glass, cut pieces, foil, and solder. They will make a one of a kind piece to bring home for all to enjoy.

Learn the essentials of working on the potter’s wheel, from centering, forming, pulling, and trimming. Also, explore hand building and the art of making a functional or whimsical sculptural object with coiling, slab building, and pinch pots. Students create a variety of pieces such as bowls, mugs, pitchers, plates, and vases while they further develop basic clay skills.

Youth WORKSHOP: Love the Mug (limit 10)
Instructor: Sarah Sprague
In this two-hour family friendly workshop for parents and children, students will learn to make and decorate a mug that is just right for a warm beverage. (Projects available for pick up February 2)

All classes must be paid in full, one week before the beginning of class. Refunds are given one week prior to class, 20% is non-refundable. No refunds will be given for missed classes during a session. We cannot prorate the cost of a class for classes missed. For workshops, you must cancel one week prior to class for a refund (minus the 20%). A full refund however will be given if we cancel a class due to low enrollment.
